OUR HISTORY
In 1994, our company (then known as Furniture Futures) started out as a part-time venture in Richmond, Virginia. By 1995, Furniture Futures had outgrown the family garage and had to be moved to a bigger location, later relocating two additional times to larger facilities to handle the growing demand for refinishing.
By 2000, Furniture Futures was incorporated. We then changed our name to Virginia Refinishing, Inc. to better reflect the scope of our work, which by this time, had become cabinetry in kitchens and baths in Virginia.
In 2018, we again changed our name, this time to Complete Cabinet Refinishing, to reflect our growing service area as we expanded into North Carolina and Florida.
Today, after 25 years in business, we are still proudly family-owned and operated!

Oak can be refinished! We always hear people say that they have been told that there’s no way their oak cabinets could be sprayed with our polyurethane finish. This kitchen that had the stained honey oak cabinets were sprayed with White Dove on the perimeter and Revere Pewter, a soft gray, on the island. It’s a night and day difference! Our customer struggled choosing a color for her cabinets and eventually settled on our most popular gray, Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter. Along with spraying the cabinets with our polyurethane finish we also drilled for and installed new handles. Taping is such an integral part of our process and is one thing that sets us apart from our competition. We spend hours taping all around your cabinets before we sand and spray. It ensures that we can minimize dust and smell. It also keeps our finish off of your walls, ceilings, appliances, backsplash, countertops and floors.
Wow, what a transformation! These darkly stained cabinets were refinished into two neutral colors that go well with everything, Benjamin Moore Icicle on the perimeter and Revere Pewter on the island. The all white kitchens just look like a medical facility.
As part of a remodel that will eventually include a new backsplash, we were called in to professionally refinish these cabinets. We sprayed them with white, which really makes them pop! We can’t wait to see what this kitchen looks like after getting some subway tile to compliment the beautiful new cabinets!
